T-scan III

T-SCAN III is a reliable and easy-to-use clinical diagnostic device that senses and analyses the tooth contact forces and timing using paper-thin and disposable electronic sensor.

The T-Scan III system is a valuable clinical tool for modern dentistry that aids in the diagnostic process of analyzing a patient’s bite and showing what is and what is not functioning properly. When a bite is unstable and unbalanced it can cause toothache, gingival recession, fracture and failure of dental restorations, tooth mobility, headaches and TMJ disorders.

The T-Scan III Occlusal analysis system can be used by dentists for the following applications:

  • » Initial Patient Exam - Occlusal Force Scanning
  • » Habitual Bite Recording
  • » Identify premature tooth contacts
  • » Achieving Bi-lateral simultaneity during mandibular closure
  • » Customizing occlusal load (Force) in, fixed bridges, dentures and oral implant
  • » Establish anterior guidance
  • » Case finishing (Force finishing)
  • » Customizing Discclusion Timing
  • » Patient education / case documentation

The T-Scan is comprised of:
1. Window-based software
2. Associate hardware
3. Patented Tekscan Sensor
